About Us

What we do, how we do it, and why we do it!

Our Mission is to support the development and growth of underprivileged children across the Philippines and Cambodia through sports and physical education programs by working closely with local communities, schools, governments, and institutions, to address the critical need to encourage physical activity, inclusion, and diversity; by providing expertise, experience, sustainability, and meaningful relationships.

Filipino and Cambodia adolescents are ranked amongst the worst in the world in terms of their overall prevalence of insufficient physical activity.

A 2016 study by the World Health Organisation (WHO) found that 93.4% of school-age Filipinos are not getting enough exercise, ranking them below Cambodia (91.6%) and Timor-Leste (89.4%) amongst low-income Southeast Asian nations.

Considering a population of 112 million, of which 40% are aged 18 years or under, this equates to approximately 30 million young people not getting enough meaningful exercise to promote healthy, productive lifestyles.

Targeting children below the poverty line:

  • According to The World Bank, in 2015, 22 million Filipinos (more than one-fifth of the population) still lived below the national poverty line.
  • Nearly one-third of children who start primary school in the Philippines do not complete fifth-grade (World Bank, 2015). Professionally developed and supervised activity programs in line with the WHO’s ‘More Active People for a Healthier World’ program (2018), encourages better outcomes in this area.
  • In 2015, a WHO study found that 16.8% of Filipinos aged 13-17 had attempted suicide. Staying in school longer through sport will drive this number down.
